view of penang from our plane, we will be heading there after langkawi

our hotel in kuah, langkawi. not too shabby!

dinner our first night on langkawi

not a bad spread

and here is where i fell in love with tiger prawns! these things were more like small lobsters than big shrimp

took a cable car up to check out the sky bridge, a suspension bridge in the mountains of langkawi that sits about 2000ft above sea level

first view of the sky bridge from the cable car

juice ready to cross the sky bridge

me and chris (aaron was in town working)

this thing was pretty freaky to cross

view from the sky brdge

met up with aaron for lunch and gorged on drinks and food at this gem of a restaurant we stumbled on in cenang beach... red sky

awesome lamb chop the chef recommended

cheers! #pinkiesup

after a long night of bar hopping and checking out some of the local clubs, we were ready to enjoy some relaxing time at cenang beach

found a nice table just off the sand to post up for the day so we could keep the drinks flowing and food coming

spent the entire day here drinking, cooling off in the water, and jet skiing (my first time). by the end of the day we were ready for some dinner and just continued into the night at our same table (at night they fire up the bbq!)

tasty fish

our last day we stopped by eagle square to see the famous eagle statue

snacks

for our last meal on langkawi, we definitely had to do seafood. this thai seafood restaurant called fish farm did not disappoint! and the added bonus was the beautiful pier behind the restaurant
juice hand selecting our grouper

ta da!

of course we had tiger prawns prepared a couple different ways, but this one was very interesting... garlic prawns in dried butter. that stuff that looks like grass was made out of butter, really good!

great way to end our stay on langkawi. next stop, penang and ipoh!
