Malaysia Trip Part II - Langkawi

after a few days exploring kl, jumped on a short flight to the island of langkawi in northern malaysia, very close to thailand. this part of the trip was more about pools, beaches, jet skis, and more eating (seafood in particular!).

view of penang from our plane, we will be heading there after langkawi

found a nice table just off the sand to post up for the day so we could keep the drinks flowing and food coming

spent the entire day here drinking, cooling off in the water, and jet skiing (my first time). by the end of the day we were ready for some dinner and just continued into the night at our same table (at night they fire up the bbq!)

for our last meal on langkawi, we definitely had to do seafood. this thai seafood restaurant called fish farm did not disappoint! and the added bonus was the beautiful pier behind the restaurant

of course we had tiger prawns prepared a couple different ways, but this one was very interesting... garlic prawns in dried butter. that stuff that looks like grass was made out of butter, really good!
