Malaysia Video

major lessons learned for me on this trip to malaysia:

1. winging it - not for me! when you have limited time and need to make every day count, id rather plan everything in advance. i tried winging it this trip, mainly because aaron lives in malaysia and was handling most of the arrangements... but he had never been to langkawi, so we had to kinda scramble to research hotels the night before we arrived (instead of relaxing), and we ended up with a hotel that wasnt on the main beach, so we had to drive out every day. although aaron did a great job planning the majority of the trip, and it was nice not having to think and just follow along for a change... i definitely prefer having a solid idea of the how/what/when/where of everything

2. expectations - manage them! when traveling with 4 people all on different timetables, it was hard to get a feel for what everyone wanted to do because we never talked about it. next time ill def get everyone on the same page, and if people want to do things a bit different, splitting up for some of the trip is fine (which we ended up dong a few times)

3. mobile internet - i need it! everyone had a data plan on their phones except me (not a reasonable priced one anyway), and it suuuucked! coordinating meeting times was so hard when i had to search for free wifi whenever i wanted to find out what was going on.

lots of lessons learned, but overall an awesome trip some some of my best friends and im so glad this trip happened! heres some footage i threw together of our adventures in malaysia!
