LA Live Tree Lighting Ceremony

we were walking through la live last week and saw that they were doing a tree lighting ceremony on friday. we were a little confused because the tree at la live was already lit? well it said there was a concert with american idol contestants, the winner of the show the voice, ice skating performances, and other stuff so we went to check it out.

we thought it would be mostly downtown residents, but were surprised at how many people actually showed up it was packed!



so this tree lighting ceremony had to be the most anti-climactic tree lighting ceremony ever! first of all, its not even a real tree. its a weird light bulb structure kind of in the shape of a tree? nanci and i want a real tree! but heres the worst part of this ceremony. as i mentioned earlier, we were a bit confused why they were having a tree lighting ceremony after the tree had already been lit up for days. well at the end of the show when it came time to light the tree... they just turned the tree off..... and then back on! really?????



ok so they made it flash different colors, but still cmon man? and they had all of the performers up on stage for the lighting, we were thinking there would be some grand finale group performance or something??? nope. the nicest surprise at this ceremony was running into our good friends josh and bronwen, and finally meeting their handsome boys! and i guess they were able to meet the american idol finalists that they came to see which was cool.
