i dont usually like to compliment george, but i gotta give it to him he did a good job finding us a place to stay. our rental house was really nice and modern, but still nestled in the middle of the woods right next to a river.

morning #1, getting ready to head down the path to check out the river

kids loved it

so did the dogs, ellie and mr darcy

didnt plan for the kids to get IN the water just yet, thanks for encouraging them ernesto! aidens only sweater and hiking shoes... soaked!!!

headed into sequoia national park, first on the list was to climb moro rock, and see the tunnel log

climb to the top of that with 3 babies and 2 toddlers? sounds like a good idea?

aiden is first to hit the stairs

aiden again first to make it to the very end

view from the very top

some family shots at the top

group shot at the top from georges gopro

the delarosas driving through the tunnel log, a tunnel cut into a tree that had fallen over the road in 1937

next on the list was to see the general sherman tree, which by volume is the largest tree in the world!

HUGE TREES!

kids playing next to a huge tree trunk

if you look closely you can see esther and pablo next to the trunk of this bad boy

first view of the general sherman, thats it in the middle. doesnt look too big from up here...

kids not too interested in the trees. they were too busy fighting over that camera and walkie talkie!

this photo doesnt capture the size of this tree!

delarosas posing for a shot in front of the sherman

after all that hiking, the next day we decided to just relax at the river.

so much fun, but man that water was COLD!!!

ended the day with a nice walk so these cuties could get some energy out

ernesto seems to think that pablo is big enough to hide behind?

one last group shot before heading home, great weekend cant wait to do another! thanks for setting this up george!
