Greece Honeymoon

after rocking out at our wedding, nanci and i had one day to pack for our 10 day honeymoon in greece! we just wanted to share some pictures from our trip, you can view the entire album HERE. here are a few of the 700+ pics we took...

after a grueling 22hrs of travel, we reached our first destination, the island of mykonos. here are some photos of our stay on this island...

mykonos paradise beach, known to be a 24hr raging party... not so much in the off season. also known for being clothing optional. saw a handful of topless sunbathers, some good... some BAD! a very nice beach, beautiful crystal clear water!

next stop was the island of santorini... our favorite part of the trip. the island is BEAUTIFUL! and our hotel was awesome, even though we werent there much...

thira, the main city on the island, right on a cliff overlooking the agean sea


only 2 ways to get down to the port... cable cars... or donkey!


want a headache? try watching the footage nanci took while on the donkey...


took forever to get to the bottom... and nancis feet didnt reach the stirrups so her crotch wasnt feelin so good

churches in thira were awesome


the kamari black beach was more like gray gravel...


the red beach was WAY cooler, although we had to hike to get there...


ancient thira, an ancient city built at the peak of the island. we also had to hike up here. totally worth it though, soooo cool...


next we took a boat to the volcano. and yep.... had to hike up the volcano too... ugh i thought this was vacation! it was awesome though. after the hike we swam in the hot springs, but couldnt bring the camera for that cause we jumped right off the boat and swam to the spring...


one of our favorite places, the city of oia. this town was the bomb diggity... and i NEVER say bomb diggity! most pictures you see on greek post cards are of oia


sorry had to throw one mushy one in there. last stop was athens. definately not as scenic as the island, but still very cool. it was crazy walking through buildings that were modern, and right next to them buildings that were from ancient times.

our first stop was the acropolis at the peak of athens, where the parthenon and other ancient structures stand. and yes i said the peak, so you guessed it... more freakin hiking! lots of renovations so you will see scaffolding everywhere on the old stuff...

and thats about it! we had a great time and definitely recommend taking a trip to greece if you can. save lots of money, this was NOT a cheap trip!!! and just so you know... greek people stink! hygene standards are definitely different out there, you have been warned! hope you enjoyed the pictures... - anthony and nanci
